How to Use Acuity Scheduling
1. Open Integrations
Log in to your BotPenguin account.
Select the bot you want to configure.
Navigate to Third Party Integrations.
Search for Acuity Scheduling and Click Connect.
2. Obtain Your Acuity Scheduling Credentials
If you already have your User ID and API Key, proceed to the next step.
Otherwise:
Log in to your Acuity Scheduling account.
Navigate to Integrations.
Click Custom Integrations.
Scroll down to the API section.
Click View Credentials.
Your User ID and API Key will be displayed.
Keep your API Key secure and do not share it with unauthorized users.
3. Connect Acuity Scheduling
Return to BotPenguin.
Enter your User ID.
Enter your API Key.
Click Connect.
4. Select Your Booking Calendar
After connecting your Acuity Scheduling account, BotPenguin will automatically fetch all calendars available in your account.
Open the Calendar Name dropdown.
Select the calendar you want your chatbot to use for appointment bookings.
Once selected, the calendar's associated Description and Time Zone will automatically populate.
If your Acuity account contains multiple calendars, make sure you select the correct one before proceeding.
5. Map Chatbot Questions
To allow Acuity Scheduling to create appointments correctly, you must map the information collected by your chatbot to the corresponding Acuity fields.
Under Question, select a chatbot question.
Under Map With, select the matching Acuity Scheduling parameter.
Click Add Parameters to create additional mappings.
Repeat until all required appointment fields have been mapped.

6. Save the Configuration
