The Calendly Integration allows you to connect your Calendly account directly with your BotPenguin chatbot. It acts as a bridge between your bot and your scheduling workflows, enabling the bot to help visitors book meetings and appointments without leaving the conversation.

How to Use Calendly Integration

Prerequisites

Before setting up the Calendly integration, ensure:

  • You have an active BotPenguin account.

  • You have a Calendly account you want to connect (or a Google account linked to one).

Connecting Calendly

  1. Log in to your BotPenguin account.

  2. On the left-hand sidebar, click on "More".

  3. Click on "Integrations."

  4. Find the Calendly integration — either by scrolling through the list of integrations, or by searching for "Calendly" in the search bar.

  1. Click on the Calendly integration, and then click on the "Connect" button.

  1. You'll be taken to Calendly's OAuth window. Log in to the Calendly account you want to connect — either with your Calendly credentials, or with "Login with Google."

  2. Review the permissions Calendly is requesting, and click "Approve" to grant BotPenguin access.

  1. You'll be redirected back to your BotPenguin chatbot screen, where a new configuration entry will now appear in the integrations table — confirming that Calendly has been successfully connected.

What do I need before connecting Calendly to BotPenguin?

You need an active BotPenguin account and a Calendly account (or a Google account linked to your Calendly account) that you want to connect.

Can I log in with Google instead of a Calendly password?

Yes. On the OAuth screen, you can choose Login with Google instead of entering your Calendly credentials directly, provided that Google account is linked to your Calendly account.

How do I know the connection was successful?

After you approve the requested permissions, you'll be redirected back to the chatbot screen, and a new configuration entry will appear in the Integrations table.

Can I connect a different Calendly account later?

Yes. You can reconnect the integration at any time from the Integrations section to link a different Calendly account.

What permissions does BotPenguin request from Calendly?

During the OAuth authorization step, Calendly displays the specific permissions BotPenguin is requesting for your account. Review them carefully before clicking Approve.
