The Notifications section in BotPenguin helps you stay informed about important activities such as new chat requests, user messages, live chat requests, and new lead creation. You can view all notifications in one place and customize how and when you receive them.


πŸ”” Notifications Dashboard

The Notifications tab displays a complete list of alerts generated by your bots and users.

What You’ll See

Each notification includes:

  • Type – Nature of the notification (e.g., New Chat Request)

  • Message – Details about the activity

  • Action Status – Accepted or Rejected (for actionable notifications)

  • Timestamp – Date and time when the event occurred

Supported Notification Types

  • New Chat Request

  • User Messages

  • Live Chat Requests

  • New Lead Creation


🟒 Chat Request Actions

For New Chat Requests, you can take immediate action:

  • Accept – Start the conversation with the user

  • Reject – Decline the chat request

Once an action is taken, the status is clearly shown as Accepted or Rejected.


βš™οΈ Notification Settings

The Notification Settings tab allows you to customize which notifications you want to receive and how you receive them.

You can configure notifications separately for different events.


1️⃣ User Message Notifications

Receive alerts whenever a user sends a message.

Available Settings

  • Receive notifications for:

    • All Users

    • Assigned users

  • Desktop Notifications – Enable/disable browser alerts

  • Mobile Push Notifications – Enable/disable mobile alerts

Click Update to save changes.


2️⃣ Live Chat Request Notifications

Get notified whenever a user requests a live chat with an agent.

Available Settings

  • Desktop Notifications toggle

  • Mobile Push Notifications toggle

This ensures you never miss a live chat opportunity.


3️⃣ New Lead Notifications

Receive alerts when a new lead is created via bot interactions.

Available Settings

  • Desktop Notifications toggle

  • Mobile Push Notifications toggle

Ideal for sales and marketing teams to act quickly on new leads.

  • Update – Saves your notification preferences

  • Discard – Reverts changes to the last saved state
