How to Use Website Installation

  1. Log in to your BotPenguin account.

  2. From the left sidebar, click on “Agents.”

  1. Choose an existing Agent or click “Create Agent” to make a new one.

  2. Click the “Install Agent” card (the third one in the Agent overview).

  1. Select “Website” as the installation medium and then click on "Next".

  1. You’ll now see multiple platform options — Custom-Built, WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, or Not Sure.

  2. If you select Custom-Built, a unique installation code will appear. Copy it and paste it into your website’s header or footer before the closing <body> tag.

  1. If you select WordPress, install the official BotPenguin Plugin from the WordPress store. Then, paste your Website Agent Installation Code into the plugin’s setup screen and click “Save.”

  2. For Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, or Not Sure, copy the provided script and insert it in your website’s header/footer section as per platform instructions.

  3. Alternatively, you can install the agent as a Landing Page by selecting “Landing Page” instead of Website.

  1. On the Landing Page screen, click “Test” to preview your Agent or “Copy URL” to share it externally.
