Why train the bot with FAQ's?

You can teach your chatbot by adding FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions). Just write common questions your users might ask, and add clear answers. Group similar questions into categories to keep things organized. This helps your bot give faster and better answers. The more helpful questions you add, the smarter your bot becomes over time!


How to train your AI Chatbot?

  1. Log into your BotPenguin, and choose the bot you wish to train.

  1. Click on โ€œTrain Your AI Chat Botโ€ and start training your AI Chat Bot.

  1. Click on โ€œFAQsโ€ to add the FAQs according to which you want to train your AI Chat Bot.

  2. Click on โ€œAdd Categoryโ€ to add the FAQs category.

  3. Add category name and description of this category. Click on โ€œSaveโ€ to continue.

  1. Now that we have a category, click on the category name to add the questions to this category.

  1. Enter the Question and Answer, then click "Save" to save the questions.

Congratulations! You have successfully created your first FAQ. continue to add more to make your bot smarter.

Here are some common questions asked regarding training with FAQ's:

Where should I upload simple Q&A pairs?

Uploading simple Q/A pairs is best for the FAQ section. Just enter them in the category of your choice and they work!

Can I duplicate the FAQ categories across different bots, or do I need to recreate them manually?

You will have to manually copy the categories across many bots.

Is there a character limit on the FAQ's?

The question has a character limit of about 200 characters, while the answer can be effectively as long as you want.

Are there other ways to upload FAQ's?

Yes! You can upload a CSV file for the the questions. Follow the directions in any category by clicking on the "Upload FAQ's" button.

Can I upload duplicate FAQ's in multiple categories?

No, the same FAQ in different categories us not possible, as BotPenguin will give an error when you try to do this.

Why is the bot saying contradictory information?

This is because the bot has been trained on sources that give the bot contradictory information regarding the same piece of data. Clear this contradiction to let the bot answer clearly.

How long does it take for the bot to train on the FAQ's?

The bot should train on the FAQ's almost instantly. Still, we recommend giving the bot 2 mins to finish training on the same.

Does the bot learn from actual conversations in addition to FAQs?

The bot can learn from the additional questions that are in the unanswered questions, and can be trained for the by answering them in the FAQ's.
